Hi M(AI)VENS,
It’s Day 12 of our 5-Minute AI Challenge. If you’ve been following along from the start, you know we began with Goals & Accountability, moved into Wellness & Self-Care, and then tackled Spring Refresh & Organization. Today, we kick off our final theme — Professional Development & Creativity.
So far, we’ve primarily used ChatGPT (by OpenAI) for our challenges. Today, I’m introducing you to a similar but distinct tool — Claude (by Anthropic). I’ll show you how both can strengthen your communication skills, no matter what field you’re in.
We all have to communicate and sometimes, we need a little help getting the words just right. Whether you’re crafting an email, prepping for a meeting, brainstorming ideas, or writing social media content, using one — or both — of these tools can save you time and boost your confidence.
Let’s get to it! 🚀
👉 For this challenge, you’ll need to download Claude (by Anthropic) in addition to ChatGPT (by OpenAI) if you haven’t already.
Quick Comparison: ChatGPT vs. Claude
1. Ethics & Safeguards
Claude AI: Known for a strong commitment to ethical guidelines, with built-in safeguards against biased or harmful content.
ChatGPT: While also focused on ethics, Claude is generally considered more cautious and transparent about potential biases.
2. Communication Style
Claude AI: Tends to provide more nuanced, contextually aware responses with a focus on balanced and thoughtful communication.
ChatGPT: Often provides more direct and straightforward responses, with a slightly more generic communication approach.
3. Depth of Analysis
Claude AI: Excels in complex reasoning, offering more in-depth and sophisticated analysis across various topics.
ChatGPT: Strong in generating content quickly, but may sometimes lack the same depth of critical thinking.
4. Privacy and Data Handling
Claude AI: Emphasizes user privacy and is more transparent about data usage.
ChatGPT: Has improved privacy features, but historically had more concerns about data handling.

Use Claude to draft or brainstorm.
Notice which tool feels better for your tone and task.
Personal Example
Here’s how I tested both tools using this prompt:
Help me write a 30 second introduction of myself that I can use at a business networking event. I recently started MAIVENS -- a newsletter and community to help women build confidence with AI at work and home.
ChatGPT answer: “Hi, I’m Cheyenne Dominguez. I recently launched MAIVENS—a newsletter and community designed to help women build confidence using AI, both at work and in everyday life. My goal is to create a space where women can explore how AI tools can make us more efficient, creative, and empowered—without the overwhelm. I’d love to connect if you’re curious about AI or looking for ways to leverage it in your business or career.”
Claude answer: Hi, I'm the founder of MAIVENS, a community and newsletter dedicated to empowering women to build confidence and skills with AI. We help women navigate the rapidly changing technology landscape by providing practical insights, tools, and support – both for professional development and personal growth. My goal is to demystify AI and make it accessible, so women can leverage these technologies to advance their careers and simplify their daily lives.
Both responses are editable, of course. But playing with both tools helps you see how they differ — and which one feels more natural for you. The more you engage, the more nuanced their responses will become.
Go ahead and give both a try. Which one felt more natural for your communication style? Would you use one regularly or switch depending on the task?
👇 Cast your vote below — I’d love to know which one felt like a better fit!
📊 I’ll share the results in our group chat — curious to see which tool wins!
