š«¶ For the Mothers, the Daughters, and the Caregivers
My in-laws are visiting and we love having them stay with us. But this week, my 86-year-old father-in-law wasnāt feeling well after a hemoglobin shot during dialysis. He felt dizzy and lightheaded that evening, and by morning we were all wondering if a trip to the ER was necessary. His regular doctor wasnāt reachable, so I packed my bag and laptop, assuming weād be in for a long day at the hospital.
We were literally in the car, on the way to the ER, when I pulled over and opened ChatGPT.
I explained his symptoms and learned that lightheadedness after a hemoglobin shot can be a common, short-term reaction, especially in seniors. That bit of information gave us enough clarity to hold off on the ER and wait to speak with his doctor later that morning. Heās doing great now, and my in-laws are joking that I should start charging for AI consultations. (Family discount, of course.)
𩺠Sample Prompt
If youāre caring for someone and unsure about a symptom or side effect, you can ask ChatGPT for general information like this:
āMy 86-year-old father-in-law had a hemoglobin shot after dialysis and is now feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Is this a known side effect? What are common reactions people might have after a hemoglobin injection?ā
š” Tip: Add details like age, recent treatments, and any pre-existing conditions for a more tailored response. And always follow up with a licensed healthcare providerāAI can be helpful, but itās not a doctor.
Was it a replacement for medical care? Of course not. But it gave us peace of mind and a better sense of what we were dealing with (and we avoided a day wasted in the ER)!
š Pinterest Says No to AI Overload
With the crisis behind us, I found myself reaching for comfort in the form of a Pinterest scroll (because sometimes Mediterranean tile is the answer).
And I was deep into it. You know the kind of scroll where one minute youāre looking for backyard ideas and the next youāve somehow curated your dream life, complete with linen pants (that never wrinkle) and a lemon tree you swear you could keep alive.
But something felt off. One image of a too-perfect kitchen made me stop. Was it real? Or was it AI?
Turns out, earlier this week, Pinterest rolled out a new feature that adds a little āAI-modifiedā tag to any image created or altered with artificial intelligence. Theyāre also testing a way to filter out AI-generated images entirely in categories like beauty and home decor. Just tap the three dots on a pin and select āSee fewer like this.ā
And honestly? I love this.
Iām so glad to see Pinterest listening and exercising transparency. For those of us planning a living room refresh, a business rebrand, or just a vibeā itās important to know if what youāre looking at is real life or AI-generated.
š How to Write a Poem for Mom (with AI)
Want to create something spectacular and personal this weekend for a special mom in your life? This is one of my favorite ways to use ChatGPT or Claude. Hereās a prompt you can copy and paste to get started.

š Playlist Prompt for Mom (Copy & Paste into ChatGPT):
Create a personalized Motherās Day playlist. It should include songs that reflect [insert the momās personality, like āuplifting and soulfulā or āfun and nostalgicā]. She loves [insert favorite artists, genres, or erasālike āCarole King,ā ā90s country,ā or āsoft jazzā]. Include about 10-15 songs with a mix of heartfelt, empowering, and feel-good tracks. Add a short title and description for the playlist for when I share it with her.
⨠Bonus: Ask AI to help you write a little note to go with it, like āI made this playlist just for you, because every song reminded me of how amazing you are.ā
š¹ Create Your Own Signature Motherās Day Drink with AI
Now that youāve got the soundtrack, how about a signature sip to go with it? I asked ChatGPT to help me create a festive and refreshing mocktail for M(AI)VENS this weekend. You could easily turn it into a cocktail too. Hereās what to copy and paste into ChatGPT to design your own.
š Prompt Template:
Create a fun, festive drink recipe for Motherās Day. I want a mocktail [or cocktail] with flavors that are [insert: āfloral, citrusy, and refreshingā]. My vibe is [āplayful and creativeā]. Name the drink and include ingredients, steps, and a one-sentence description that sounds like it belongs on a fancy brunch menu.
š M(AI)VENS Motherās Day Spritzer
Hereās the one I crafted for you. I asked AI to create a drink for us thatās festive, floral, and fabulous!
Ingredients:
3 oz sparkling water (like LaCroix hibiscus or lemon)
2 oz pomegranate juice or pink grapefruit juice
1 oz elderflower syrup (or a splash of St-Germain if you want to spike it)
Fresh mint leaves
A few raspberries or sliced strawberries
Optional: a squeeze of lime
Directions:
In a glass with ice, muddle a few mint leaves with berries.
Add juice and elderflower syrup.
Top with sparkling water.

This is my first time reading your post. Thanks for the excellent tips. I am going to make a birthday post for my husband. Last week I used ChatGPT to help design 2 logos for our business. It helped when I contributed some of my own sketches to better personalize the logos.
Great to have you here! Would love to see the final logo you designed with ChatGPT for your business. Please share when you're ready. š
